Right ovary and fallopian tube removed

Hi, 2 years ago i was really ill with tubo ovarian abscess which after first being treated with antibiotics which didn’t work I later had surgery to drain it, also didn’t work. So i had op to remove left ovary and left tube.

My surgeon called it a partial hysterectomy

By the way this was all caused by having a coil in!!

Since the surgery I sweat really bad if I even walk up the street!

My periods are a lot lighter, and don’t last as long!

What I wanted to know was if anyone has been through this?

I have also gained a lot of weight!

It’s just killed my self confidence!

I had full open surgery because when I gave birth to my daughter 12 years ago, when she was 4 weeks old I nearly died from peritonitis which I got from giving birth! So I already had a huge scar (30cm)

When I had my partial hysterectomy my surgeon went even lower and now my scar measures 40cm.

I just feel so self conscious as my scar now stops an inch above my vagina!

It also became infected so the scar is not pretty. It looks like it was done with a blunt knife! As i have gained weight my stomach is lob sided! It looks like a bum!!
