Maybe have a look at the meds you are on, John, possibly some side effects??

I can't comment on the abdomen but shakes may be a vitamin deficiency. I got the shakes at one point and it turned out that my B12 and D3 levels were low.

The colon ascends on the right side.

Colitis in flare up will cause a temperature.

    shaking is not so common.

If you can do arithmetic this means your mental function is ok.

If yòu feel confused then its hospital because you may have sepsis. This is serious and can be fatal.

I had septic shock and shaked uncontrollably. I couldn't write and thought I was in Russia.

Hi all a little update for everyone, at 16:30 this afternoon I was admitted into hospital with a tempreture of 41.5 I had sever tremors, sweats etc, it has been determined I had contracted an infection. I am now laid in a ward being dripped fed antibiotics, 200mg steroids, paracetamol and 4000 mg of pentasa, needless to say I am somewhat better.

    will keep you posted

I am glad you got admitted because I think you were on the verge of septic shock.

You need to rest before you start doing stuff. Suggest 1 week once home.

Hi all I thought I should tell the outcome for the last 72 hours and also a little warning for those who are not yet under a gastro-oncologist. As you all know I was admitted Sunday afternoon with a temperature of 41.6 and found to have a kidney and bowel infection. The hospital a and e had done blood works, X-rays etc. after which they placed me on iv antibiotics, iv steroids and saline. This started on the Sunday evening and was left to rest.

i then had a visit from the ward consultant who informed me that the blood works where fine except the infection low anaemia and risen ESR. And that my X-rays showed nothing out of the ordinary.

even though I was in pain and discomfort loosing mucus and blood.

i had then had 5 doses of antibiotics, and steroids and also 4 full saline iv,s.

on the Monday afternoon I was visited by a Gastro-oncologist who asked me why I was in, I explained that over the last several weeks I had been out of my doctors the 111 out of hours and also A&E and that every time I went in I saw a different doctor who would then prescribed me some form of medication.

he then went through my history and the end result was I had been given the wrong medication for my condition and also the wrong amounts, though this is no one fault as each doctor or consultant has their own specialist field.

because of this I was on 70mg Steroids, 4grams Pentasa, codeine, oral morphin, citilipram, and lanzoprole, which had built u p from all the visits.

he had also checked the x-ray from Sunday and informed me that I was constipated right through to my small instestine and said that it was because of the codeine and morphine that caused this.

he had me have an enema which started to work within 20 minutes, he has taken me off the codeine and morphine, and I am to reduce my steroids down to 30mg at )5mg per day from 70 then I am to reduce the 30 mg by 5mg per week till I am off them,

for pain I am only to use paracetamol as it does not cause constipation.

by doing this I will only be on pentasa lanzoprole and citilipram total of 11 tablets a day, instead of 25 a day,

i know this is the first day but already starting to feel good.

or course this is specific to me and would encourage anyone to check with their own doctor.

    so onwards and upwards

    thanks John

Wow yeah that's a lot of meds the most I've been on at one time would have been 40mg of steroids with some Mezevant. Hopefully things continue to go well.
