Ringing and blowing in one ear that comes and goes

5 times today I have gotten this strange ringing sound in my left ear. Each time it is at random moments where I'm not expecting it at all. It is not painful and lasts roughly 20-30 seconds. Once, my left ear was ringing and I felt a blowing sensation in my right but it was only that one time. I'm 17, I haven't had any ear infections ever, and I frequently clean my ears. It makes me feel very paranoid of it happening again and I'm afraid it may lead to more serious issues. Also, I have been jumping to noises more often than I did before but I am not sure why. Someone may start talking again after a moment of silence or a TV remote will drop and I will visibly jump. I have been more aware of quieter sounds that never really bothered me before and I am not sure why.
