Ringing and Pain in ears

So about 4/5 months ago I had an ear infection and a Doctor Prescribed me some Anti-Biotic Ear Spray which was fine it cleared up after a week of all of one day...at which point I went back and was prescribed some more amoxicillin it cleared up for about a week and ever since then its felt blocked as if something was in there along with a faint ringing so once again I went back to the Doctors to get it looked at and he told me to come back to get it syringed because it was blocked and he was certain the tinitus was being caused by the wax so once again a week later I go back to get it syringed but of course theres not enough wax to justify Syringing yet I still have the exact same problems hearing is muffled/tinitus and its pretty inflamed and painful does anyone have any ideas that can help? I'm going back tomorrow for the doctor to look at it again and if I dont get results I'm going to ask to see a Ear Specialist but I just wanted an idea on what might be wrong cheers for any help smile

Hi. Yes go back and keep going back until you have a referal. I accepted everything I was told and I wish I had't. Even when I was told the problem would go if I kept my ear dry and to put cotton wool in it when I washed my hair.  Tried that one for a year!!! Wish I had refused to leave the surgery until they discovered the reason for my hearing loss. Now almost total in that ear. Good luck.
