Ringing in ear/spaced out

Hi I have just come back from having my ears flushed due to dizziness/spaced out feeling as doc says they were highly impacted. Nurse was pretty useless when asking her questions but one of my ears was quite painful after she started so I asked her to stop she explained it shouldn’t be painful. I have a ringing in that ear also noticed that when I was putting the oil in and laying on my side it was making me go dizzy. Does anyone know what this could be? It’s grtting really annoying now and I just want it sorted.

    Hello,

When you put liquid into your ear, it can affect the inner ear and disrupt the signals for balance.  That is why you feel dizzy when water or any liquid goes into the ears.  I cannot explain the ringing in the ears.  Have you seen a neuro-otologist?  They specialize in inner ear and might be able to help you.

    Take care,

    Nicole

Thanks for replying! I have been dizzy for over a month now. Just been back to doctors as ear is painful and green inside turns out I’ve got a ear infection and I think the ringing is from labyrynthitis which is inflammation. Got some ear drops so hopefully once it’s cleared up I won’t feel spaced out anymore.
