Ringing in Ears for over 5 weeks

I developed a sinus infection about 5 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago I visited a doctor who gave me 10 days of anti-biotics and flonase. The sinus infection seems to have cleared up but the ringing still persists without any relief. Is this common? Furthermore, how long will this last? I'm a recent music ed grad and to have potentially developed tinnitus as I'm about to embark on my career is especially disheartening. Thanks for your responses.

Ive had ct scan, mri, blood test....all fine apart from Timothy grass allergy.
anti biotics did nothing , sinuses ok but as like you ringing in my ears is continuing. I'm taking nasal spray and anti histamine .
I also use a nasal cleaner( sinus pulse elite) and have been seeing Chinese Dr for accupuncture and herbs....some days are better than others, it goes up and down but my ENT Dr thinks it will clear but slowly.
what are you doing to try help it?

I'm on avmys spray once daily and fenofexadine one a day at night.
cleaning out the sinuses is also very helpful , get a netti pot ( squeezey one) you can clean your sinuses twice a day.
i was told to cut out caffeine and down on dairy, it is a slow road sadly, it goes up and down but is worse at night as its silent.
ive only been on meds for a week and been told it takes 6 weeks to kick in, my hearing test was fine, pressure test too ok...
they are popping less, feeling less dizzy and believe it's true about the mucus plugging it as too thick, it's just so frustrating isn't it.
there are so many sites with different opinions, I read about a chap from Llandudno who paid for surgery to cure it, I'm just hoping it will settle with time.
thinkng back I've had tiny bits of tinnitus but it's cleared , so do believe it's the sinuses as have sinus problems, just never an ear infection with it.
id try to get as much vitamins etc to support your immune system, it can only help.
hope this is of some use to you.
