Ringworm problem

So my girlfiend got ringworms from a little kitten she took from the streets. I knew something was going on because that cat didnt look so good but i pet that little sh"t anyways. 2 weeks later when my girlfriend gave a cat away to someone else, I slept over her house and next day she tells me that she has ringworms. I was very angry but i didnt say anything. Anyways after weeks later her ringworms got really bad, she looked terrible and they were everywhere. i though i didtn get it but 2 weeks later really small spot showed up next to my nose, near cheek area. i knew something was wrong but i didnt do anything really because it didnt looked like a ringwomr but 3 days later it showed up on my back and my arms. i was very upset and depressed so i had to go to the dermatologist. She gave me antifungal shampoo and clortimazole and im still using them, one on my cheeck dissapeared a little and so are the ones on my back so i though i was good and i staretd talking to my girlfirend again ( we werent meetin each other because of ringworms) so because of this i got them on my legs and one on my face came back again. They dont look like ringworms at all because they are very small dots, and their not eachy at all but the problem is that i have little acne on my body so every time i see something now i freak out, i hate it and i want it to go away, 4 days ago i got red ashes on my armpits and one on my beard, on my arpits they are diseapearing because im using clortimazole and in fact im putting it on everywhere. Maybe i can use stronger cream for my beard and for my body in general? like lamisil or something.
thank you.

I'm so glad you got into see the dermatologist! I'm hoping your girlfriend finally went into see a Dr. and that she told the next person, that that kitty was sick. Ring worms are very contagious. Be very cautious with which meds you are put on.
Be sure and google lamisil to be sure it's not the one that causes 'loss of taste.' I'm blanking on which antifungal med did that to me and many others.

It is important to continue the treatment well beyond the disappearance of the symptoms.
As long as you have ringworm use towels only once. Then wash them on a hot setting and add laundry disinfectant to the last rinse (instead of fabric softener). You could also wash bed sheets and underware the same way.
With a few precautions to avoid spreading the infection and diligent treatment you will be fine.
