Diet, environment, health and even age can effect it. Also Haemochromatosis isn't always happening at the same level all the time.

We are use to thinking its always happening at the same rate but that's not always the case and sometimes it goes faster for a time.

In the end its nothing bigger then a hicupp and should back to its normal rate on its own

Any infection, inflammation will increase ferritin. You might have had a slight cold (it is not high enough to be a bad cold). As Eric said, no big deal. This will happen on occasions. Only if it continues to increase, then an investigation of what is going on in your body is required.
