Rise in PSA

Posted , 2 users are following.

I finished a course of 35 IBRT plus Hormone therapy about 18 months ago. Since then my PSA has decreased to a low of 0.2 six months ago. However, my latest result came back at 0.7. I know these are still low values but I wonder if I should contact my Urologist prior to our annual appointment next May? Could this be the fabled 'bounce'?

    Are you getting any symptoms?

What stage prostate Ca do you have?

No symptoms although I doubt if there would be any with such a low PSA. Staged as probably within the prostate with small risk of escape (hence my choice to go for RT rather than RP).

Thanks for the response - I guess it is only a small rise but difficult to ignore.
