Risk of blood infection from fly in water?

I have an embarrassing question. I am pregnant and as is common in pregnancy I have haemorrhoids. I find it helpful to ease the pain and reduce bleeding to dampen my toilet paper in water. I therefore have a mug of water by the toilet. Today i forgot to check in the mug before dipping the paper and wiping. I only realised afterwards that there was a dead fly (like a gnat) floating in the water. As i have open cuts from my haemorrhoids i am now terrified of having transferred fly eggs or bacteria directly to my bloodstream. Can anyone advise if this is something to worry about and what i should do?

    Hi Tina

If I was you I would use a gentle soup to clean the area and rinse thoroughly. Or will dip some cotton wool in apple cider vinger and wipe the area then wipe again with water.

    P.S. i am not a doctor though

what works better to clean the area and can help heal the hemorrhoids is to put a little bit of coconut oil on the toilet paper.

A simple phone call to your doctor should give you the best answer.
