Rituximab - does it work for you?

Hi everyone. After a failed attempt using Humira my Rhuemy has recommended Rituximab. I've recently had the two infusions, two weeks apart, and wondered has anyone any experiences of how long it took before any beneficial effects were felt.

    HI John

after trying numerous treatments for RA and suffering awful side effects i.e migraines nausea etc etc they eventually put me on Rituxamub i had my first infusion at the end of July 2018 and 2nd infusion at the start of August 2018, after about 2 months I honestly thought it wasnt going to work I was still in a lot of pain, then suddenly by the end of third month all the swelling had gone and my inflammatory markers started to come down, however i was still in a lot of pain but it was a lot easier than it had been, the Dr seems to think its ostio now, thats the pain im getting but i dont think so, i know everyone probably feels differently on this treatment but its made my body feel as though every bit of moisture has been sucked out of my bones its taken away the heat and the swelling but just left me with the pain, its now April 2019 and the heat and swelling has returned started last month, and getting worse all other symptoms of RA coming back, just waiting now for next appointment for infusion, let me know how you get on and good luck, it really does work but as you know it gets rid of one problem to create another but its more livable.

    Regards Ann

Thanks for replying and I'm so sorry Ann to hear of your continued discomfort. So, I may have a few months to wait before I feel any benefit of Rituximab. John
