Roaccutane follow-up for a guy

Hi there,

Does anyone know if men need to be followed-up as regularly as women do when taking roaccutane? 

I think women need a more regular follow-up due to risk of getting pregnant while taking roaccutane?

I ask because I'm thinking about taking roaccutane but due to work and traveling I might not be able to see my derm every 4 weeks.

    Everybody needs to be seen every 4/6 weeks due to liver checks not just females for pregnancy. Roaccutane can have a serious effect on the liver so they basically do blood tests to check everything is going smoothly etc. I'm just about going into my second week now of roaccutane and am seeing results already smile good luck x

      Thanks. What happens when someone has to leave the country or a week or so! or travel for business? etc. etc.

      Oh I'm not sure. I'm not that far into the treatment yet haha. Surely they would work around it ? Have u been referred to a dermatologist yet ?
