Rough skin under the head of penis

Posted , 4 users are following.

I had gone to a GP around 8 months ago about an area of hard skin beneath the ridge of the head of my penis. I'm 19, uncircumcised and a virgin and I had it for a few months prior to this. He said it was nothing to be concerned about and that he'll refer me to a dermatologist. A week later at my appointment the dermatologist had reassured me that this area of hard skin was only being caused from friction (I can't recall the actual term for it) from my pearly penile papules and that it wasn't contagious or harmful and that I should cover it in Vaseline after every time I urinate and it should clear up within 6 weeks.

I had a second checkup appointment booked as the dermatologist wanted a second opinion, but I decided to cancel it because within 2 weeks the changes were drastic. But since that point they haven't changed at all up until now.

It's not been about 8 months of daily coating it in Vaseline, multiple times a day. My hygiene is good, I shower 4 times a week and I always wash thoroughly.

It doesn't cause me any discomfort, the skin feels dead and I don't feel it when I touch it unlike the other side which is fine.

If anybody has any suggestions on what I do moving forward, I'd highly appreciate them. I also will most likely book another appointment to get some professional advice. I just wanted to see if anybody experiences anything similar and what they did. I will attach images.

    Hi,

If your PPP's are hard or rough, then I'd suggest considering co² lasering them. One it should remove the cause of this irritation and two, it will be more comfortable for a future sexual partner.

    DM is ok,

    Rob.

The issue here isn't the pearly penile papules as I mentioned in the post I was already aware I had them. The issue is the soft/dead skin beneath them as you can see in the photos.

I meant if they are the cause of the skin issues beneath them.
