Rough week

Hi everyone,
I’m having a really rough week with Sertraline after having a good few days last week. I have now been on Sert for 4.5 weeks but day 13 of my dose increase from 50mg to 100mg. Is it normal to feel more depressed and anxious than before? I just want to cry all the time I feel so miserable.
The dose increase didn’t bring any of my initial side effects back such as the lack of appetite or insomnia apart from a headache for a couple of days. But I am really struggling with my emotions, I am all over the place and wanting to cry all the time. These feelings didn’t happen until about day 9/10 of my dose increase which I thought was weird.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Has anyone else experienced these emotions at this stage or with a dose increase?
Thank you x

How were you doing at 50?
If you go back to 75 and settle on that, this may help???

Hi Kate, zoloft is an interesting medication. I just hit the eight week mark. There have been a LOT of ups and downs. I am on 50mg and have a doc appointment tonight. I am going to stick it out at 50mg until I hit the three month mark, as I've hear this medication takes a long time to settle into the system. My doctor said that 50mg to 100mg is a big jump. Instead he suggested that I go from 50mg to 75mg first. However, like I said, I am waiting for another few weeks before I make the jump. I may not need it. I think you may benefit from 75mg and see how you feel. Much love xoxo

Hi Kate, dose increases do cause problems at first and as you haven't been on them for long the increase in bad feelings is usually worse. Try to persevere. I take 150mg but the brand has been changed from activis to accord and I am having side effects again having been on them a few years, very odd????
