Hi everyone I've had these spot on my penis for over 2 months now and nothing i've thrown at it is working ill detail my attempts below!

The above picture were taken after all of my attempts to clear it up, so they do look "better" than they did before but still very noticeable.

only some of the dots are partially raised kind of like a pimple after its been popped, but most of them are smooth to the touch with no bump. It doesn't itch or produce any irregular sensations. No burning when I pee and im not going to the bathroom every 20 minutes. When I squeeze or tense them they act like elastically like the rest of the skin even though they look scabby.

They appeared after having sex with my girlfriend a few months ago and I thought they were some extended form of Balantis that I was fighting with earlier. Basically I had been treating a case of red scaley skin on the head of my penis by using Clomatizole and Betaderm with an anti bactieral pill( i forget the name of), prescribed by my doctor. The creams treated the red scaley skin and within a few weeks had cleared up. however this has happened to me 3 times now each over the past 2 years. This time; being the 3rd, after treating it with the steroid cream a few weeks later after sex with my girlfriend these dots showed up.

I've been to some general practitioners about it and they've guessed at it saying maybe balantis, maybe HPV, but my STI's all come back negative so it doesnt seem to be HPV, my next step is to visit a dermatolgist or uruologist but that will take some time and im hoping someone here can help me identify what it is.

This info below is just to help clarify what I've tried( not necessary to read if you dont want)

Attempts over the last few months:

  1. Treat with just clomatizole

I tried this after my doctor suggested it could be balantis and wanted to see if the cream would help.

I used the clomatizole cream twice a day for 7 days

After first it seemed promising as it reduced the redness but only temporarily, after washing with water it would return to its normal darker red.

  2. Treat with Betaderm + Clomatrizole

I then waited a few days and began treating it with the 2 different creams i was given for balantis by different doctors.

This seemed just as effective as the first attempt with no lasting solution.

  3. treat with Nyaderm

Thinking it is likely some kind of bactieria or fungus I figured maybe a different over the counter product could help and got this thing called Nyaderm (Nyastin) .

I waited a few more days of no treatment to give myself a break.

then applied this cream twice a day for 10 days rubbing it in thoroughly and covering my penis head with a large bandaid to reduce contact to the cotton of my underwear.

At first the results were promising as the cream reduced the overall size of the red dots and brought some of the colour back. It would only cause the spots to retreat mildly but not fully. after about 3 days the spots started to maintain their ground and would no longer diminish in size or colour. A few days after starting treatment they seemed to return to their abnormal size and colour, but i continued treatment hoping for it to go away.

  4. Treat with Nyaderm + Clomatizole + Antibiotic pill

Similar to the above treatments it seems to be working for the first few days then it would just maintain it shape and size. Around this time it looked like the spots were actually spreading as new smaller dots were forming which caused me great concern.

They newer dots were much smaller but then again I cant remember what size the original dots started as before getting bigger.

  5. Treat with Nyaderm + topical honey (Manuka Honey)

The Nyaderm seemed to have the most potent effect so after waiting a few more days from the last treatment I wanted to try a more homeopath approach. I would use the nyadarm in the morning then follow up with the manuka honey at night after washing off the nyaderm.

still ended up with the same issue.

  6. treat with Dexidin 4

Im getting deperate now so I went to the store and bought anything anti-fungal or bacterial. 've been using this now for the last 4 days. I've noticed it reduces the shimmer of the red spots under the light and I want to say it was getting better but seems to once again be stagnating.

  7. Treat with Dexadin + anti fungal liquid "flexitol" (Udecylenic Acid)

This has so far been the most effective, but also most painful treatment.

I clean with soap and water then apply the dexadin twice, wash it off, then I dab on the anti fungal directly to the spots. I made the mistake of leaving it on the first time and within a few minutes my penis was burning like i dipped it in tiger balm. I went to wash it off but it continued to burn for several hours. Interestingly though this was the most effective as it almost completely removed the colour from some of the bumps. you'll notice in the pictures I attached that some appear lighter in colour that because I've been applying the anti-fungal to a few spots that were looking really bad and are now almost invisible in certain lights or angles.

It used to look much more pronounced before taking the pictures I have attached.

I've been using the last treatment for the last 5 days now and it seems to of plateaued again in effectiveness leaving me with the current state of the spots in the pictures attached.

I personally think this is only effective in the sense that its probably causing serious tissue damage and simply reacting with the surface layer to form a lighter more skin tone colour.

Please if you have some ideas of what else I can try I'd much appreciate it because I'm getting desperate and none of the doctors i've seen are sure what to do.

Thanks!

You know what it was? I have a similiar looking thing and have absolutely no other symptoms at all. Not scaly, no nothing. Just a slightly darker/pink spot that is completely flat. I've had if for years and i'm a virgin.

Hi, mine appeared when Covid came in Summer of 2020. Since then I have one on the same spot, shiny flaky looking reddish patch less than 10 mm diameter, I tried using Veregen after I've seen a dermatologist who at first glance said looking at it that it's not an issue. I was like okay... but it still bothered me. Anyway I asked if I should apply Veregen there he said I can try but use it once daily and if it turns red I should stop. At first it looked promising and maybe shrinking a bit but started hurting like crazy after a couple of days of application and I stopped. I think it's still irritated and too early to tell if it did really shrink a bit or not. I'll comment more if I happen to fix it.

@Bates1234 did you find any working solution?
