Routine GP appointment escalated!

Hi I recently went to my GP as was told I more than likely had carpal tunnel syndrome after a work medical  (I work with jackhammers etc) upon seeing the GP my Doctor says he didn’t agree with the diagnosis and suspected something a bit more sinister (a stroke or MS ) my only real symptoms are no grip strength in right hand and unable to extend toes on right side! I have an urgent MRI booked for tomo but can anyone give me any ideas what it could be? Thanks

They are doing it on my head, I have no pain at all just unable to grip with right hand or point toes on right foot.

The MRI will help but M S is not always visible with first symptoms. The should be able to rule out a tumor. That would be good news. They may need a spine MRI too. Hoping the news is good. I had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists with great sucess. I have MS and also developed more issues in arms had my spine and neck fused all is good but I still have drop foot in right foot and neuropathy in legs.

I have terrible neuropathy in legs as well as muscle spasms that hurt. I dont have any weakness l have seen a neurologist who did brain and c spine mri and ruled out ms. Im not convinced as my symptoms are still there the pain in calves are becoming unbearable. What were your symptoms of ms jeralyn.

Hi thanks for the info, i had my MRI on Saturday and have been told the results are back today! Unfortunately the receptionist can’t tell me anything over the phone and I have booked an appointment with the GP I’m guessing the fact it is back so quick is good news! So I remain hopeful
