it is completely normal my withdrawals used to always kick in between 2-4 weeks.

when I dropped from 40-20mg I thought honestly I was cured! i felt amazing then i think it was 3 and a half weeks into dropping i was making a chilli and just started crying and panicking and went downhill pretty fast!

    so it is normal x

I went from 20mg straight to 50mg sert as my doc said the hardest to come off is the lower amounts of citalopram and didn't want me having to go through withdrawals for too long. he said take the plunge now and get it over and done with

your gp or psych will tell you that withdrawals wont kick in that late but trust me they do x

what you are going through is completely normal with withdrawals.

I would ask if you can make the transition a bit sooner if you are really struggling bless you x

how would you feel about asking that?

I feel like honesty is the best way to go.

I'm only on week 5 of a low dose of sertraline and it has been far from easy.

I haven't noticed any positive changes tbh and I feel pretty crappy. but I felt like crap before I switched so Its pretty hard to tell.

i have joined a really good sertraline support group on facebook so if you do switch they have been brilliant for me when it gets tough.

the switch was easier than I thought I was really expecting to lose my mind doing it but haven't yet.

it's just how I'm feeling in general with anxiety/depression x

can I ask what you are on and why the switch? x

have you thought about maybe increasing the citalopram before trying to switch as you can go up to 40mg of citalopram x might be worth seeing if that helps first as the increase shouldn't be too difficult as you already have it in your system x

if you switch make sure you talk to your doctor as they can advise the best way to come off and start the new one x

I would make sure you have time off work ect.

beta blockers for fast heart rate and shaking

or a benzo for when things get really tough for emergencies x

also join a support group on facebook so when you do worry or struggle people can advise you and help who have experienced the same to put your mind at ease a little bit x this has helped me a lot x

awwww bless you x I know that feeling well. I think you should talk to your psych and gp and explain how you are feeling at the minute x they might be able to help or give you advise on coping until you start the new med x
