Hi I have been in a lot of pain in my knees especially my left one. Doctor has put me on tramadol, by the end of my working day in could easily cry as legs so painful. My eyes are beginning to crystal every morning so hard to open some mornings. I had a scan couple of weeks ago but doctor hasn't received it back from hospital. I've been wearing braces on my knees to try to help. I have sever sweating. My top gets soaked within 1/2 day at work. Any suggestions please

Hi Ms Sara, tramadol's only a pain killer and muscle relaxant but not the cure. It will make you sleepy. Please go to a doctor who really takes interest in treating his patients honestly.

Before it gets worse. Our ailments just keep increasing making our situation more miserable.

Check if it's problem with the bone or tendons that's causing pain! I too have my right knee pain with stiffness.. I am a teacher and I just couldnt walk.they had to carry me. I was literally shivering with the pain and was sweating. It was swollen. I just couldn't walk walk any more. Right now I'm feeling better. My doctor removed a fluid from my knee about 5 ml. Then he gave an injection on the painful area to treat the tendons.

Gave me methotroxate 5 tabs and Arava with folic and miracid.

This is only an idea I'm trying to give you.

Sister please don't wait for the doctor to respond sometimes we have to be telling them what to do after researching on our health condition. Just go to google get some idea of your symptoms and then go to the proper specialist before it too late and to spend money on knee replacements and so on.

I'm surprised, when you said that you have knee pain and the doctor gives you tramadol. No that's not he had to do!

I'll keep you in my prayers. Our creator our god will help us through this pain. Just be confident trust in him. He will guide you to the right physician.

Hope to hear you soon that you're ok. God bless 😊 you dear. Don't worry keep yourself calm don't rush or panic and work on it. Everything will fall in place for you. Sometimes stress is also a cause for all this inflamation. Sorry to lecture you so long.

Cheers' don't worry everything is possible just that it takes little time. I'm still on the bed need to take rest cause I just had my treatment from my doctor yesterday. As I told you above.

    Cheers again!👍 smile

Hi Sarah, sorry to hear you are struggling so much at the moment. Do you have a diagnosis yet? Does your GP suspect RA? You will need a rheumatology referral and blood tests but in the interim steroids may hefp? I also sweat +++ it's so embarrassing! You don't say how old you are. I don't know if mine is due to my meds, age , or what but it is very unpleasant. Go back to your doctor and good luck! Carol x (UK)

Tramadol is only a pain killer but, you are obviously in pain so it should help in some way.   Tramadol by itself doesn't really do a lot, but its efficacy is greatly enhanced when taken with Panadol and in particular with Ibuprofen.   Your Doctor should have told you that when prescribing the Tramadol.   I take Tramadol daily, but never by itself as it has no benefit, I always take it with Panadol and occasionaly with Ibuprofen, it does work quite well.
