SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE

Hello everyone Well last night i went back to the Irish Club for the sat evening dance.I have not been out since I got the PMR in November.
So i had a great evening did not dance as much as I used to but i had 4 Foxtrots, 5 waltzes 3 slow dances and a slow jive. plus 2 drinks :bubbly: :bubbly:
As you see by the time 1.40 am I can not sleep mind you that is because I can not stop looking at my bedroom wall. I decided to take all the old picture hooks out of the wall and fill the little holes in then put a dab of paint on the hole's, all went to plan apart from the fact that the paint is a year old and must have gone off in the shed so I am now left with big blobs and streaks from the paint which looks a different shade it should be pale lilac now i will have to paint the whole room as I just can not live with it. I should have left well enough alone LMAO
No good asking my chap to call and do it as he can not even change a fuse in a plug :wah:

What a night out !! you must be feeling well or you didnt like me take 5mg tablets instead of 1mg !!
Hope you continue to feel well When i was dancing when I was on holiday I ended up with a massage on my knee the following day !!
My husband thinks my painting is only fit for the inside of a cupboard so I never have to do it !! I do try and put all the paint thats in the pot on the brush in one go !
Nice to see the sun today

Wow :wow: all those dances at the Irish Club and just into 3 months with PMR treatment - well done you :diva: .....you didn't mention any Irish dancing though (the wonderful Riverdance comes to mind). We could do with you at my friend's 65th Calypso-themed party on Saturday with one-man steel band, Hawaiian garlands and hair flowers - she's looking for someone who can do the limbo??!!! Think I'll just settle for wearing the garland! :P But reading about the wonderful evening you had has put me in the mood.

If there's anyone new to PMR who just takes a look at this site now and then it should really encourage them that life goes on!
Painting sounds like hard work tho'. Further suggestion; you can get those little trial pots of different paints - would one of those do the trick?
I have to say I have done absolutely NO decorating since the PMR struck, mostly because I think it's hard to do just a little bit and then stop - you have to keep going or it'll look funny.
Enjoy the sun today - and thanks for sharing a lovely evening with us,

Dancing was our main hobby until PMR struck and we danced to Gold Standard and Championship level..............I miss being able to dance so much.
I am getting some ultrasound treatment on my feet now for the tendonitis, so I might be able to do a shuffle come the summer? Will have to practice in the garden - that'll mystify the neighbours, but the patio outside is the largest space we have!
I've just read this through and realised it's a bit misleading........PMR was the reason I had to stop in the first place, but I now have other arthritic conditions so am still very stiff with painful joints as well as the PMR.
It's lovely to hear of someone else who likes to dance, so you keep on dancing and enjoying it!

Ok the wall has been sorted. what I did was use the bathroom paint by mistake which is a different shade of lilac. this morning i found the bedroom paint in the shed and have now touched up the blobs.
I lifted out this other can of fence paint and the bottom fell out of the tin so i was covered in dark oak fence paint ha ha had to have a good scrub lol but all is well that ends well I can now live with the wall.
I had a nice silver framed mirror in the room so got a bottol of silver glitter nail vairnis and painted over the silver frame and it looks WOW.

I think taking the steroids in the evening explains why you didnt sleep !!
But I think this illness is a case whatever works for you is OK This might give other people some ideas if they have important occasions coming up like a wedding that is late afternoon and going on to the evening and want to have some extra energy take it later in the day I hadnt thought of it I am sleeping well now I am much lower on the steroids and i do need my sleep The practice sister at my surgery said her Father always took an extra 5mg when he was playing golf and nothing she could say would stop him !!
Glad you are feeling so well
