Saw my ortho today. 14 weeks post op.
Im going to have screw removed from my ankle, the one going through back of it
Its a little more involved than I originally thought and Ill have to wear boot for 2 weeks after to protect stitches
That isnt something Im looking forward to but taking the screw out will give the foot more range of motion
It's not for another 3 weeks

im 7 months on from my ORIF for trimalleolar fractured dislocated ankle and next week my ortho surgeon will remove all the hardware in my ankle, the syndesmosis screw, the plate and 10 other screws, i hope it will alleviate my pain and range of movement issues too! He has said i may need an ankle fusion later on due to the severity of my fracture. Good luck with your surgery.

I cant believe I have to wear the boot again for 2 weeks after the procedure and just hoping its all worth it
