Scabies - just diagnosed - Horrid Itchy ITCHY parasite. Salt seems to be the answer

Hi all, I have a question for all similar diagnosed friends. 

Have you any experience with HOT tSALT baths as a remedy for scabies?

I left my trip to the doctors for diagnosis as I thought it might just be a virus - not wanting to waste their time - too late.  Silly me -  My scabies are everywhere, worst on hands and arms, but now spread to  torso, back legs.  After reading the forum, I am wondering if this is the same with other sufferers.  I have been prescribed a cream called Permethrin to put on once a week.  This seemed to just aggrivate things. I have read some wonderful items on here and tried the HOT bath with salt.  First I tried it on my hands and arms as hot water is sooooo painful. But it stopped my itching.  Today i had a bath = soooo hot it was unbearable with 500g salt in it. also rubbing salt all over myself and allowing it to dry naturally.  This is the first thing to actually stop the itching.

Please could I have advice or remedies from other sufferers.  ALso how long do thenscabs and scars last?
