Scalp fungal infection

I want to talk to someone who has had a scalp fungal infection. Tinea captitis.

So I noticed a bold patch on my crown getting bigger. My scalp was very itchy the doctor has put me on a 4 week treatment using terbinefine tablets im day 10.

will my hair come back? im scared to check my scalp in case i find more patches. had anyone had this? im 36 could it be something else?

i chopped my hair off using a kitchen pair of scissors. im so sad and depressed. how long will this take.? just want to speak to someone who has had this?
