Scalp Psoriasis

3 MO'S AGO I STARTED TO HAVE SCALP PROBLEMS. THE DERMATOLOGIST SAID I HAVE SCALP PSORIASIS. SHE PERSCRIBED

?MEDICATED SHAMPOO BUT NO HELP. THE AREA IS ABOUT 2" ROUND

CRUSTY AND STICKY BUILD UP ON MY SCALP. IT WASHES AWAY

?WHEN I SHAMPOO, BUT COMES BACK IN 4-5 HOURS. DID ANYONE

HAVE THIS PROBLEM. IM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.

    Have the same problem.  Shampoos don't seem to work.  I put vitamin E on it daily and it seems to work for me.  Just a few drops do it.

    You are on the wrong forum Walter.  This one is for PMR/GCA.  You need the Arthritis forum.

    New to the forum, just diagnosed with PMR.

    But I have had pretty bad psoriasis inside my ears and on scalp for 40 years or more.  And just about the time the PMR presented, I had the worst psoriasis attack ever - not just ears, but my on my face centered on my nose.  While they were converging on the PMR diagnosis, I was thinking maybe psoriatric arthritis.  

    The Prednisone knocked out the PMR pain and cleared my face and scalp to be better than ever in 40 years.
