Scaphoid fracture?

I damaged my wrist last year at some point - can't remember exactly. I left it to heal but it's been getting worse, I can't weight bear on it and I now have limited movement when bending it make (for example pushing yourself up from a chair) my GP sent me for an X-ray today.. I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same experience? Is it likely a fracture if it's been over a year?

Thanks!

I had same problem with my wrist. It happened during pull ups in gym. It wasnt sudden but slowly slowly it damaged. Doctor told its a tricep tendon tear and wrist muscle tear. I was getting ultrasonic therapy for 30 days and did muscle strenthening exercise. Now it is fine and have started lifting weight in gym. but now im very careful while lifting weights and doing pullups.

I would suggest you to check with good doctor and do some strenthening exercise for your wrist.

    Hi joo.f

I damaged my wrist about 15 years ago.  At the time I left it to heal but over the years it ha given me problems.  It's my right wrist and I'm right handed.  When I was working in accounts I had problems writing numbers in cash books etc.  I then taught myself to write with my left hand and consequently was slower.  I managed all my working life and each time it was checked they just told me it was arthritis and gave me a cortisone injections.  This happened for about 2 years and they couldn't give me any more.  I've since had my carpal tunnel operated on and this hasn't given me much relief.  I was then told the wrist was shattered and there was nothing they could do.

That was nearly 5 years ago and the last time I saw the specialist he looked at the old x-ray and he offered me a complete new wrist.  This was about 2 years ago and I still haven't decided.  It was just before I has a hip replacement January 2016 and I am still having problems with this.  That is the reason I haven't made a decision.

i hope you are more successful than me and I wish you all the best.
