Scar tissue AGAIN?

****Surgery history: Approximately 10 years ago I had my first TURP. Everything went well. My urine stream was GREAT. Then, after 3 months, the stream slowed to a trickle. DAMN! Went back in and the doctor removed scar tissue. After 1.5 years, stream slowed to a trickle, and went back for another removal of scar tissue. Another 2 years, and back in again for scar tissue removal.
My doctor said I was really prone to scar tissue.
My 4th surgery to reduce the prostatic tissue was March, 2021. Had Aquablation. Doctor said he removed 60% of prostate tissue and ALL scar tissue. He said I was OPENED UP. Well, it's been about a year and I am virtually sick. The urine stream is slowing and I have to go back to address the problem.
Is there any end to this BAD DREAM?

@scurry..definitely feel you pain, I was looking at Aquablation but was concerned about UTI and bleeding issues. I am 71 and have small prostate (35cc) with enlarged median lobe obstructing urethra and protruding into bladder. I have spend about same amount of time (ten years) studying proper procedure for my anatomy. Now on my three uro, hoping to help BPH/OAB/ LUTS.

Looking at Holep, if physician will take me. Wild isn't it, men spend half their lives trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. One bad day can really cost you in so many ways!

I had the same problem. Median lobe protruding into bladder. The Aquablation removes 60% of prostatic tissue and allows you to avoid retro ejaculation. I did bleed quite a bit and had to go back and get a cath inserted.
You mentioned that yoiu were on your third uro. Could you be more specific.
Why?
How much time between procedures?
What procedures did you have?
Did you have scar tissue problems?
Your response would be much appreciated!

Because of my scar tissue problems which were caused by doctors exploring my prostate and bladder, I wish I would have tried Prostate Artery Embolization. That could have possibly saved my years of being in and out of the hospital due to scar tissue.

Aquablation is a great procedure and in my experience, its effectiveness it aided by prostatic artery embolization 2-3 days before the surgery. No bleeding.

Can you detail your Aquablation experience?

Scurry - thank you for posting. How difficult is the surgery to remove the scar tissue? Is there a lot of pain and is there a significant recovery period? I had Aquablation and I'm wondering if I will need to get this done.
