Margaret, you must calm down. If you have some lemonade, warm it up only very slightly and sip it. It will calm your stomach and help bring up any trapped air. Provided you can keep your tablets down for at least 45 mins you should be ok. Regards, christina

Yes, Christina is right - You must try to calm down - all of us have had upset stomachs at some time and had the same problem with our tablets. But if you can keep them down for 45 min it will be fine.

You mean vertigo don't you? If it is very bad and doesn't improve quite soon get your husband to call 111 and ask for advice. It depends what is causing it but you may need some medication if the nausea goes on for very long so you can't keep fluids down. You mustn't get dehydrated.

Margaret, I echo the advice of the others.  Apart from sipping plenty of water to keep you hydrated, send hubby out to the supermarket for a packet of arrowroot biscuits (Sainsburys definitely stock them).  If diarrhea arrives on the scene, sipping the sports drinks are the best.  I've only experienced one severe bout of vertigo after an overnight ferry trip to and from Denmark some years ago - everything going round and couldn't lift my head off the pillow, really nasty and don't ever want to experience it again.  GP prescribed medication  at the time - so don't hesitate to call Dr if it worsens.

I do hope you feel better soon Margaret. I have Meniers as well as PMR and although much improved over the past 5 years it did flare up again when when taking pred between 15mg and 9mg, then just disappeared.

Vertigo is frightening but I found if I propped myself up and focused on a particular point instead of lying down it helped, plus soothing music in the background. I know what it's like but it will settle it really will. Take care, Kay.

I'd never heard of such a thing as crystals in your inner ear (and I'm 78

yo) until my daughter in law had a bout with them   You need to see

a Ear, Nose and Throat doc and they have a very simple exercise

of turning your head a certain way to put the crystals back where they

are supposed to be.  She was very dizzy and throwing up,.  Certainly

sounds like you need medical attention ASAP

    Hello

I suffer from periodic, severe Vertigo; and know how dreadfull it can be. I have discovered that if I put a Scopiderm patch behind my ear at the first, definite sign, I can carry on. The patches last five days. Doctors never prescribe it, but fortunately mine was persuaded! The problem is , you have to have them available, 'in case of an attack'.

Meantime, lie still and keep sipping those fluids.

Hello Penelope, I have not heard of scopiderm patches. Are they only available at the doctors or can you buy over the counter? Kay

I have just googled it and I have glaucoma and epilepsy so it wouldn't be suitable for me. Sorry should have done this first!!  Kay

Hi Margaret, sorry to hear you are not well.  Dear love you, if you can do some deep breathing it will surely calm you down.  You will be able to think better and not be in a panic.  As some of the ladies said if it continues get hubby to contact dr.  Let us all know how you get on when you are feeling better.  Pat
