scared about a day out

Hi guys me again.. sorry lol. I'm on 50mg sertraline a day (day 9). Had a couple of good days and now feel horrible again. I can't be anywhere busy or enclosed and don't feel myself when I'm out and about. I rarely leave the house now because it makes me feel lightheaded and hot. I'm supposed to be going on a day out at the weekend with my dad and my brother and I'm absolutely petrified. I don't know how I'm going to cope. Perhaps taking my diazepam as well as the sertraline? Anyone got any advice? sad

Hi Weeasy, it'll do you good to get out for some fresh air and hopefully the sun will shine too!

I'm sure your dad will understand if you mention your concerns and will make sure you will be able to cope..

Go on, go for it..... 😃😃😃

    Hi buddy,

Let us know how you have got on this weekend. Sounds like a family outing is just the thing to ease you back into the outside world. But don't put too much pressure on yourself too soon - one step at a time until you feel your natural self-confidence returning.

    Good luck!

Thanks a lot! On Saturday I was feeling good so ventured out. We just went shopping but it was a big step for me. Last time I was there I had an anxiety attack and stayed in the car. Was a really good day!. Felt good as well today so went out for dinner. Also a big step for me. This time last week I wouldn't have left my bed. Good weekend was had 😃

Great to hear buddy! Well done. Now you know what you can achieve. Just need to hold on to the good memories & self-belief the next time anxiety or negative thoughts and feelings strike. Hope the bad vibes stay away for a long time to come though. Keep taking one day at a time. You're doing great!! :-)
