hey! im 18 too and was in/still am in the same situation as you! i had an eye floater too and i feared that i had diabetes and i continusly cried myself to sleep. i had an annual eye doctors appt and they said my eyes looked healthy 😃 i still have eye floaters but my anxiety has made me develop diabetes symptoms a day or so after i first read about common symptoms. if i think about diabetes i suddenly get really thirsty (common symptoms) and that causes me to worry so i go pee frequently (another fommon symtop) so its kind of like an endless cycle for me 😕 i hope its gets better for you, im in a pool of my own thoughts that i cant seem to get rid of. do you also feel common symtopms? im sure were fine but health anxiety is so evil to the mind.

Ive had I floaters for 40 years! they started in my 20s from anxiety and stress and never really went away although I don’t notice them anymore. Millions of people have them and they are harmless. I am not diabetic And I’m very healthy. and I’m very healthy

And yes you can find out if you’re diabetic by a simple fasting blood sugar test . however, if you have stress and anxiety the eye floaters are most likely due to that.

everyone should have a physical check up at least once a year with their doctor. Take care!

see a doctor, get some blood work done. you are too young to be worrying like this. get the blood work done and find out for sure one way or the other, and you will feel better once you know for sure. did you tell your parents? i know when i stare at a computer screen or phone too long my eyes play tricks on me as well, mostly its just eye fatigue. If you do have diabetes, which i doubt, its not life threatening and completely manageable. so dont get lost in your own head worrying about it. if you worry a lot, maybe consider seeing a therapist to talk to about your worries. it does help. good luck. keep us updated

its a anxiety symptom, i had this very bad at one point when my anxiety was at its worst, i thought i was gonna lose my eye sight are something,it eventually went away but it seems to be coming back since my anxiety is at an all time high because of this virus, i think dry eyes can also cause eye floaters but its more of a anxiety thing, i had eye exams and blood work done, came back normal, no diabetes for me, dry eyes yes and i do wear glasses sometimes, but do still see your dr if your concerned
