Scared about my Hemorriodectomy

I've been reading tons and tons of forums and it's making me incredibly anxious and afraid to have this surgery. Borderline thinking of canceling it.
I'm 29 male, USA. I have been told I have three hemorrhoids, all internal, one being large and patrudes after a bm. I have no pain, but this year I suddenly have lost lots of blood due to them. I was hospitalized in January due to the blood loss. So I know it's a serious thing that I need. Just panicking from all the horror stories I've read online.
Looking for feedback, helpful tips, encouragement. Honestly anything other than negativity at this point. Surgery is 5 days away and I feel like I'm losing my mind now.

It's gonna change your life. U can't go on bleeding all time. i also had 3 like you. I got them banded one at a time over 4 months. I thinking yours are more serious. Mine never bled at all. Your butt your decision. Send like eventually you'll have to do something. Recovery is rough but imagine having hemorrhoids for the rest of your life. That's could be a long time.

I couldn't agree more. That's why i calmed myself down and went into surgery as positive as I could be. It's only day of the surgery and I already know I made the right decision.

Day 1: Pain has been on and off. But no where what I've read on MOST of these online forums. Mind you I haven't had a BM yet so the worst is to come.
I removed my gauze packing before my first sitz bath and that was pretty horrible. Scary and obviously more painful than just leaving it alone.
Overall Oh was prepared to be excruciating pain all day after the surgery from all the forums I read. I feel like it is much more manageable than most people let on.
I feel like it hurts less when I stand rather lay or sit, so I've made it a point to do some walking around. Stairs makes me tense up, kind of like pucker up which cause a sharp pain as of right now.
I was able to nap for 3 hours this afternoon as well. So as of day 1 without a BM yet I'm alive and surviving. I will continue to post real feed back because I think it can help some people. All the horror stories almost made me cancel this and so far I'm so glad I didn't. I can't wait to be healed and never see blood in the toilet again.

I'm bout 1 month post op! Best decision I ever made. Wish I hadn't waited so long. The next week will be rough and there will be ups and downs but it's very manageable. Even the first bm wasn't as bad as everyone said atleast for me.
