Well I haven't either, but ohh yeah it does exist!!! There are different kinds.......NEUROMA, CHOLESTROL GRSNULOMAS, AND SQUAMOUS CELL

These are middle ear and mastoid!!! There's also inner ear cancer!!! Sure enough....I couldn't believe it either!!! Research it!!!

Try not to let your anxiety get the best of you. Write down your symptoms and any questions you have for the doctor.   I haven't heard of ear cancer being related to TN. I wish you the very best.

Hi Amy, The worse possible thing you can do is your own research into any symptom . Anything you google is going to give you the worse possible outcome so please stay away. There are always lots of alternatives to any set of symptoms.  If you're really so anxious please push your appointment forward and when you do this, tell the neurology dept or doctor how scared you are. Chances are that you have a passing illness that can be easily treated.. Do let us know the outcome and meanwhile I hope that you find you're feeling better.

    Hi,

I mentioned mastoiditis, I don't believe I said what it is. My apologies for scaring you.

Mastoiditis is an infection of the mastoid bone, specifically the air filled cells which are important for conductive hearing. When there's inflammation or infection there's usually swelling behind the ear and many of the symptoms you described.

Cancer of the ear can occur, but it is rare. Your symptoms would be different and mostly associated with hearing and balance. The pain of ear cancers is very different, it's more often described as constant and throbbing, and very rarely does it cause TN type pain.

I hope this clarifies things for you.

    xx
