Hey ?? guys , I’m new to this forum in fact any forum which just shows how worried I am for my surgery .  I’m 35 and mum of 2 beautiful children .At present I’ve waited the best part of 2 years to have my surgery due to hospital’s having to follow procedures and protocols . Ive been so frustrated by the wait it has really affected my mental health as well as phisical health . Ive been off work sickfor the past 9 months .

I just got a phone call yesterday to say I would be getting my op before the end of November by the latest, it is now mid way through September and also I’m on a cancellation list .I actually broke down with tears of happiness just feel like this is finally the beginning of the end??

But now this morning the nerves are really starting to kick in thinking about previous ops and my ability to just bleed and bleed and getting re admit to try stop bleeding .  Im worried about recovery and pain although I’m in huge amounts of pain everyday now anyway has anyone else had this surgery?  And also my bowels are terrible have had super slow bowels my whole life which is why they think I got the rectocele , that and the birth of my last child was quite traumatic had to get rushed into surgery after he was born to stop the bleeding Any info would greatly appreciated thanks in advance 🙏??

It makes me so sad that there is such a lack of patient information and support especially for young women like yourself. It is a shortcoming of the medical

Profession.  I am still in recovery mode after just 5 weeks but am hopeful the surgery is worth it. The surgery itself was a breeze. Be brave!

    Hi

I had hysterectomy and rectocele repair 14 weeks ago. Just gone back to work today.

The operation went ok but it is quite a hard operation to get over. You will need lots of help initially especially with childcare and lots of help around the house for the first few weeks.

My bowels are a lot better since the op which is a massive bonus.

Is there anything in particular that your worried about?

Hy, there I just had cystocele and  rectocele with a mid slim,14 days ago  I was so scare too . But had it done  I was tire of pee on my self and filling full after  i poop 💩 I fell like a ball was stuck on my but. I’m not going to tell you that is a peace of cake cause is not the recovery is  painful for me the first 3 day was bad but a pain killer took care off after that I was fine just rest rest rest rest it hurts to sit for me because dr said he close my outside a little he said I was a 4 he make me a 2 like a normal woman. Know I’m in my 14 day of recovery and I can tell you I can 💩 and it it nice not to have the problems I had and pee normal again I was really really really scare about 💩 the first time I went I was no pain at all “”but”” I was and I have not being Constipated that’s one thing the doctor told me do not get constipated so I take my stool softener every day and Mitalax  and eat lots a lot of vegetables. I’ve been sneezing and I laugh and I don’t P on myself and the more I noticed right away I don’t have this urge to go P no more and feel like there’s nothing .  But for me still hurts to sit straight because of the The stitches he put outside of my vagina
