Scared I have a brain tumour

I am only 15 years old and I have been suffering from dizziness and lightheaded when I stand up and sometimes when I lie down, I have dull headaches but they aren't really bad, they are bearable. I have been given antibiotcs from the doctor for sinusis but they don't seem to be working. I have really bad anxiety and I think I am dying every night or I am suffering with a brain tumor. I constantly search up symptoms on google which make me worry even more about having a brain tumor. I have noticed that I do clench my jaw a lot, which I have looked up which could cause headaches. I am just so worried incase I have a brain tumor, I just constantly want to go to the doctors. I have been 6 times and I am still not satistfied, they have shone a light in my eyes to check if there is pressure, and she said there were no problems and no pressure behind my eye. I am so worried I have a brain tumor and I have panic attacks nearly every night which leads me to can't breath. I think I suffer from health anxiety and my doctor thinks that could be part of why I am suffering but she also mentioned tension headaches.

Hey Rachel, youre only 15, very unlikely to get a brain tumour.. Headaches are scary sometimes I agree.. Pressure in the eye seems like fsatigue to me too.. What are you so anxious about in general?

Hi Rachel, I myself suffer from heavy anxiety to the point of being hospitalized. I live in Canada so I don't know what your options are but I can tell you from my experience anxiety is your worst enemy. You think you are dying all the time but you are not. You are googling things and your mind is going crazy. I do the same. But I have a good doctor who understands me and referred me to good therapist and I'm taking anti anxiety med and I'm much better

    Maybe you can get help

Rachel, I can tell you right now that you do not have a brain tumor. I see that you are dealing with anxiety and panic, The anxiety causes the panic and IT IS THE REASON YOU ARE AFRAID YOU HAVE A TUMOR!!! One of the main and worst symptoms of anxiety is the horrible, terrible, scary, stinking things it gets your mind to tell you. All of us on this site have experienced this, including me. I am a retired counselor and never knew what bad was until I got hit with anxiety. I thought I would go crazy, and have a new unserstanding of this horrendous problem called anxiety. The things you are afraid of are only thoughts. Every time your mind says you have a tumor, it is only a thought, ONLY A THOUGHT!!!

Just a couple of hours ago, I got the thought that i have bone cancer in my mouth. That's the latest one. I immediately said, out loud this time, "Oh no you don't, you are not real, you are only a thought, so STOP IT!" and focused on something else. The thought keeps trying to capture me and I keep saying my thing and refocusing. I can tell you, i got a lot done today.smile I refocused every time which resulted in getting 3 loads of laundry done, doing my nails, taking a walk, cooking, doing a crossword, etc. You can't let it take you over.

Also, do yourself a favor and cut out coffee, soda sugar, and eat whole real foods, and drink a lot of water. Hopefully others will post to you today. This is a great site with wonderful, helpful people. Read what others are saying to each other by clicking on the green button to follow discussions.

Honey, I know you are scared, so was I until I got on an anti anxiety that took down some of the terror until I could think straight again. This forum has helped me tremendously. Hang in there with us. You are alright, just don't know it yet, and I know that right now you find that hard to believe. I care about you and how you are doing. I'm blinking tears back right now thinking of a young girl so terribly afraid. You are going to get better and better. I send you a bucket of love, my girl.

Antibiotics work on bacteria infections. And sinus can be viral too. But the antibiotics are good if the doctor felt infection going on. They can dehydrate you and make you have headaches and be dizzy as well. Tmj which is teeth clenching or grinding can cause all those symptoms as well. When a doctor looks into your eye they are watching your pupils react to the light, seeing their sizes and so even go close uo to see into your eye. They would hands down know if there was an issue with your brain from how your eyes are. So do not worry about the brain tumor part. You have health anxiety but if you werent feeling good that would make you have it. I would say drink more water. Standing up and getting lighthead can be from sinus or dehydration. So try and drink eight to ten full glasses of water throughout the day. See if that helps a bit. Im dealing with noises in my ear from end of a cold and it all get scary sometimes. You have your parents that are looking out for you so you can let them worry for you, i know in the u.s lots of colds and sinus are going around. You have very kind  and patient parents to have brought you to the dr six times already. I can bet you have been very thouroughlly examined. Be careful googling they give the worst scenarios and you dont know the right thing to google.. same with specific illness forums. They just tell you their nightmare stories which have scree me at times too,Here everyone is aware of anxiety and can better soothe your fears.

Hi Rachel, I am pretty sure you don't get a brain tumour. Sometimes headaches can caused by many reasons, pressures or stress is most common.

stop thinking you are dying and try to relax, take deep breathe(it really works for me when I have anxiety/panic attack) when you feeling anxiety and talk to your paretns what is bothering you.

you are only 15, enjoy being a teenage and have fun, don't overthink things.

Hi how are you feeling now? Still getting headaches? I felt exactly the same I have had a headache for a month, vision problems and other symptoms. I have had every test done and im fine! Stop worrying about something like this and get over your anxiety(by getting help) because youre only young once and I know how hard it is when you have health anxiety stop googling and be happy if there is something wrong the doctor can tell by looking in your eyes because our eyes are like a computer screen by looking at it you know if something inside isnt working properly stay off google because it only causes problems lol GOOD LUCK YOURE FINEEEE x
