Scared I have lymphoma!

Posted , 3 users are following.

I might be freaking out for no reason, but I can feel about 4-5 moveable (1 cm in size) lumps under my chin/ jaw. For awhile now I’ve been able to feel my lymph nodes in my neck and jaw area. The past couple days I’ve been having anxiety over being able to feel them because I don’t remember there ever being so many of them, that I can feel. I’ve been feeling them frequently the past day or so that maybe I’ve irritated them by touching so much?

Another thing that has me worried is excessive fatigue and feeling run down. Body aches too! It’s the worst in the morning until the afternoon when I start feeling slightly more energized.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice? Does this sound normal?

    Hi hope95,

    I hope you're better today.

I'm similar and panic a lot about health topics. Asking on here about the issue could help you feel better?

    Best wishes,

Hi Hope do you have an infection anywhere in your mouth or near your mouth or head area? If they are moving then they are lymph nodes. My lymph nodes under my chin get quite big and sore when i have a sore tooth or an ulcer or im run down. If you are worried go see your dr and they will hopefully reassure you that you are fine.

      Hi Rydia,

I agree - if you see a doctor you can be re-assured.  Although sometimes it's not always so easy to see a doctor for all of us.

Is it normal if you feel your lymph nodes like this?  (I think I can feel mine a little.

      Thanks!

Hi Jonathan I understand its not easy for some people to see a dr. If I put my chin down to my chest I can feel the lymph nodes along my jaw line. They are always there just some feel bigger thank others. When I had glandular fever the whole side of my bottom jaw line and neck swelled up really big. Your lymph nodes are there to help when you get infections or sores.
