my best friend works with a coworker who went home early bc of the stomach flu. Saturday night, when my friend came over we just sat outside. she mentioned her stomach was upset because she drank too much the night before. we didnt share food or drink nor was she vomiting or anything like that during out hang out. she was never activley sick.
she was feeling sick yesturday. " just felt tired and shakey. she thinks its because she has not been eating lately. i talked to her this morning and she said shes not sick but does have the runs from not drinking enough water and too much alchohol. i am nervous i some how contracted the stomach bug. its going on hour 44 and so far nothing for me other than anxiety. could i still get it??? im not even sure she had the stomach bug.

It's highly unlikely. Usually the stomach bug virus is spread through particles from the vomit or feces. If your friend wasn't showing any signs of sickness when you saw her, and you didn't share anything (such as a drink or food), I think you'll be totally fine. Especially since it's been 44 hours. I think you're in the clear 😃

don’t overthink this. You have been fine so far. Take one day at a time, eat healthy, drink a lot of water, wash your hands all the time. That’s about it. Either you get it or you don’t but Sounds like you’re doing OK so far. Just go about your life as usual.

i have a fear of vomiting and from everything i have learned you are 100% in the clear. now reassuring you by telling you this is not going to help your anxiety (even though i hope it does). you need to float through your anxiety. dont try to fight it off or make it stop. try to just embrace it and ride it out. if you can successfully so this, your fear will fade away.

You're completely in the clear, girl! Being so afraid will definitely give you a stomach ache. Don't cause yourself anymore stress. Do something nice for yourself today. What do you enjoy? You should do that today 😃 I think it's healthy and important for us anxious folks to also celebrate and enjoy little things in life. Otherwise we'll just be completely bogged down with no happiness. So I totally encourage you to do something nice for yourself and really try to enjoy that moment.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Get a check-up.
