So here the basic low down on my life I'm a 24 yr female I'm about 5'3 and weight 250 I know I am overweight I keep telling myself this is maybe just chafing but I've never had chafing like this. The last time I was sexually active was January 12. I had gone to the gyno since then because I had gotten bacterial vaginosis took the week meds was all better gyno did another swab said that it was gone Monday febuAry 15 I had a large sore quarter size no blister already scabed up on my inner right thigh (I though this was chafing as I just started to work out and run an try to get healthier) then I started to notice I was getting more sores on my thigh no clusters just sepertate sore. I've been bandaging them up because it hurts walking as my thighs rub together. today Saturday feb 20th most of sore have scabed up and I noticed a blister on my thigh. I've asked my ex if he had anything and he said no and that he would of told me. I know these things can stay dormant an people not know they have it so it possible maybe he had it dormant and gave it to me idk. All week I just thought it was chafing until I saw the blister on my upper thigh it's just 2 blisters not a cluster like all the pictures you see online and it's just clear. I have no other symptoms like itching burning tingling or feel like the flu. It just hurts to walk as it is an open sore/raw feeling on my thigh. I'm going to make an apt with my gyno on Monday as they are closed because it's the weekend. I'm devastated because I'm sure this is herpes idk where to turn I just wanted to see what people had to say if they think it could be something else which I really hope it is. I'm going crazy googling herpes an looking at pictures an reading blogs. Please respond.

Hi, you are not alone, please know that it's ok to worry, but the best thing is to see your gp or local clinic that are trained to carry out tests to diagnose it. Mine didn't look like the norm either, my tests came back negative but they said visually it looked like I had herpes 1 genutal from oral sex. I'm going back in a few weeks for another test just to be sure. You might not have herpes, there's lots of conditions that cause sores, I had really bad flu like symptoms with my sores, I went right away to my local gum clinic and emotionally it helped as the nurse put me right at ease, even gave me a hug and had a giggle. X

Thank you for responding. I really hope it's something else since all I have is blisters an sores and no other symptoms. But I doubt it as I read more online. I'm trying to distract my self but I don't think I will be able to until I get an answer from the doctor. it just sucks because it the weekend so literally I can do is think about it.

Treat yourself with compassion and love, like you would a friend going through what you are experiencing. It's not nice but you are on the right path as you've been to the doctor and joined this group for support.Hopefully they can get to the bottom of your symptoms soon.

Have you ever noticed anything on your actual genitals? It is unusual for a first outbreak (but not subsequent ones) to appear on the thighs, and it doesn't sound like you have ever had anything genitally, so it may not be herpes.

Even less likely to be herpes now! Do see a doctor about your skin condition, though.
