Scared of a brain bleed

im back again and now my third post about my head, I hit a few days ago. I have a head obsession before all this happened. I just need more reassurance guys. I hit my forehead really hard, to the point it’s sore. I’ve been having headaches and dizziness. Which caused me to go to the er that same day(Sunday). Doctor didn’t do a scan or my blood. He just did a neurological test and said it’s probably a concussion. So... I’ve lived with that diagnosis but this morning I started to see flashes of light and tingling sensation in my face. I can’t rationalize if this is just my anxiety playing tricks on me... or if it’s real????

I'm not a doctor but if you had a brain bleed like intracranial hematoma I don't think you would be able to type very well. If it happened on sunday I would think its safe to say your ok but again I'm not a doctor. Typical brain bleeds come with seizures, loss of consciousness, vomiting is a big one, paralysis. If there was a maybe a CSF leak basically a hole in your skull you would leak clear liquid fluid from your nose or ears. I have heard it coming from the eyes but typically its your nose or ears. I had a CSF leak but not due to hitting my head or anything. Its been almost four days, I think your anxiety is getting the best of you but if you are really concered call your doctor or go back to the ER but I think its anxiety. Again though, I am not a doctor. Hope you feel better.

Dear , if you have brain bleed you won’t be able to write so many post as you will have severe headaches, fainting and blurred vision. Trust me as my uncle had it before after a car accident and he wasn’t been able to be conscious like you . Calm down !!! Don’t let anxiety fool you .

If you are having headaches and dizziness I would call your doc and tell him. What part if your head tmdid you hit? I know everyone is here to reassure people they are fine but realistically speaking as a nurse sometimes they can not be fine. In your case we are not speaking if anxiety symptoms that are in our head we are speaking if an injury to your head. Something not to be taken lightly. Bot to scare you abd not saying you have one but a person can have a SLOW bleed in their brain. I would ask fir a CT for your peace of mind. Take care!

Thank you for your reply Celia!! Yes I just left my neurologist office and she says she sees no signs with her neurological test and didn't want to but ordered a CT scan, for me but I gotta wait a whole week!

Glad you are getting the CT. The front of your forehead is thicker than the sides. I fell last year and hit the front of my head and my whole face was numb. Had a CT done as I don't like messing with head injuries. Iam sure yours will be negative. Let me know the results. Try to relax. I know it's hard having to wait.
