I have had Ryhinitis for four years, when it started in April 2013 I thought it was seasonal and would go away. It hasn't I have tried lots of different antihestamines, I find Fexofenidine the best, and the Sterimar salt water nasalspray that washes out nasal cavities best. Constant wiping nose, not funny. I get left eye ache and head pain over that eye around eyebrow, and down that side of nose. I had three months of no pain but that was after two weeks of a strong antibiotic. One week of antibiotic does not work. I had a week of Clarithromycin, this antibiotic works if given more than a week. I read an article by Dr Miriam Stopard a british doctor, she said with a chronic sinus infection, six weeks course will sometimes be needed. I have anti bacterial eye drops too prescribed by dr as my eye waters too, that is anoying. I have to go back again for a longer course of antibiotic as I was given only a weeks supply recently and the headache over eye came back, was good while taking antibiotic, but not given a long enough course. I hope you can get good advise from your doctor, living with this constantly is very depressing.

I just Googled Medrol it apears to be a steroid. Shouldn't be on it long term. Yes it can make you feel better but can effect bone density. I was given Prednisone for only five days, my doctor was very clear I shouldn't take it for longer than the five days. It can cause Osteoporosis so not for long term should you take a steroid.
