hi just found this site, just what i needed.

I have been put on 10 mg of mirt as im not coping with a certain situation at home.., doctor said it will help. The thing is I am on Tramadol 200 mg a day for psoriatic arthritis, i have read so much about the seratonin syndrome, i am scared to start, i know i should come off tramadol to be safer but this takes time and I need the help the mirt will give. hopefully now.

thank you to anyone who could offer any thoughts

You mean 15mg of Mirtazapine? You will sleep well with Mirt and sometimes lots of lovely dreams even at the half dose 7.5

I don't think the seratonin syndrome comes into it at all TBH...so don't worry

I should add that the Tramadol is a very high dosage ( tried it myself at that dose for only 2 weeks) and i had a HORRENDOUS time coming off,so take extra care and go slooooooooow

Maybe it would make sense to be reducing the Tramadol and uptaking the Mirtazapine at the same time as the MIRT would undoubtedly help with TRAM withdraws

Hope your heath and home situation improves
