Scared stiff

Got my appointment through for the 21 st March for ultrsound I'm absolutely scared stiff my GP said my c125 was slightly raised but my anxiety has got the better of me and I'm thinking the worse ! I think it was high and he has lied to me! I don't have bloating I'm losing weight but think that's down to my anxiety any help would be appreciated

    Hi I suffer extreme anxiety too but I can promise you your Dr would not lie to you as it's more than His jobs worth.if he said your ca 125 is only slightly raised he means it 100% ca 125 ranged between 0-35 so yours is probably just above 35 no need to worry. can I ask what your reasons are for having a scan ? I have a repeat scan on 15 th my 3 rd for complex cysts.take car Michelle x

      I'm having ultra sound because of my slightly raised result I am over 50 that might be the reason why ! That's why I was thinking he lied sending me for ultra sound ! But more then likely my age thankyou so much for your help very much appreciated I have gp appointment again at 4 so hopefully I will come out feeling better.

    That's really only slight & does not mean anything sinister at all. The ultrasound will be so helpful & is absolutely painless.

    Why are you having so much anxiety? Is it the ultra sound? Blood test results?

      I do suffer from anxiety and yes the blood test results and what the ultrsound  may find, I suffer from anxiety due to both my daughters being diagnosed with two different blood cancers 6 yrs ago they are doing well but it gave me quite bad anxiety and I fear the worse most of the time I hate it thanks for responding X

      The ultra sound is a breeze and from what I hear the ca 125 being a little high is not abnormal. Did they feel a cyst already and that is why you are getting an ultra sound done?

      No the gp felt my tummy which he said felt fine I'm getting ultra sound due to the slightly raised c125 and have to go back this next week to repeat blood test he never gave me what they were raised to I understand they should be about 35 I'm seeing another doctor tomorrow not by choice you never get the same one most are locams!

    Denise, my doctor would not do this test. He said the levels would be high due to endometriosis. He said that would cause worry and stress. He said there were more accurater blood test for cancer but this by no means was it. I will pray for you during this time and after your visit. I have suffered with this disease for 25 years. I know it's scary and life is hard, really hard. If you need anything I will be glad to share what has worked for me.
