SCARED TO DEATH

I've been on Citalopram 20mg for a last 8-9 yrs mostly Almus (package) Mylan (manufacturer) from Boots UK. In the meantime Viatris bought Mylan and they stopped distributing citalopram to UK. 2 months ago the stock was completely out in Boots and they gave me Noumed . It was horrible. It's like I wasn't taking any drugs. Tunnel vision , shivers , brain fog , brain zaps etc... it was Hell. I live in Surrey Heath and I went to Dartford 2h 30mins drive to pick up some remaining Mylan from there after calling more than 80 pharmacies in South West and South East. In the past I remember talking Sandoz, Teva , Accord tablets. Non of them worked fine and now I'm running out of the last few weeks of Mylan pills.I called Mylan and they will send me the full ingredients list to compare with different drugs. I'm scared, really scared. I talked to my gp , and few pharmacists about this issue and they were pretty surprised, but couldn't give me any constructive advice. Anyone has any clue what shall I do or anyone in similar situation?

Thanks.

Hi Sanci, sorry to hear about your situation. I am on Sertraline and have also noticed that sometimes when the manufacturer changes, I can tell! It really sucks that they are no longer manufacturing the one that works for you, but I'm glad they've sent you the ingredient list. I honestly don't know what to suggest though. Are there any other manufacturers that you haven't yet tried? x

      Hi Laura,

yes, there are, but even the pharmacists are pretty clueless and they always give me the strange look when I meantion my issue. I'll try Sovereign this week. Fingers crossed.
