Scared to go to sleep again

So, last night I had a nightmare. About something I'm paranoid about due to something that happened back in 2016. But anyway, it was suddenly very dark in my dream and then I use my phone as a flashlight, and then theres this very bright light in my dream, like blinding me. Then I suddenly jolt awake. The of my neck feels like its tingling, an electric like feeling in it. Was feeling a bit scared, face felt a bit warm. I don't really know how to explain it. I just felt a sense of impending doom. This has me all sorts of nervous today. I'm scared I might die in my sleep and I've been having pain in my abdomen all over. It was so bad last night that I couldn't find any way to get comfortable when trying to lie down for a while. 😖

The stomach ache is probably nothing, not necessarily anxiety but nothing none the less. But everything else, having trouble sleeping, scary dreams, electric like feeling and feeling warm is totally anxiety.

Listen to something soothing. I use apps that have sounds of ocean waves, to gentle thunderstorms, or even piano music. When that doesn’t help, I’ll put a funny movie on to get my mind off it. Take deep breathes.

Thank you. I will try that. I usually have something on TV to help me feel calm. Usually something cheery, funny.

But yeah, I should also add that there was a weird feeling in my head. Like it some heavy like feeling and sense of impending doom. That dream was so terrifying. It was almost like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and then I suddenly jolt awake.

And in response to the other person. I felt the zap like feeling go through the back of my neck when woke up. Like something zapped me awake. And the pain in my abdomen has been going on for over a week now. Its just gotten bad over the past few days to where it'll lasts for hours, almost a whole day. I have also been getting some pain in my chest on the left side. Just hurts a little. I think stress might be causing it.

I also suffer from sleep apnea. So I have to use a cpap machine. Last night I didn't use it, and I was laying on my back when I woke up. So maybe that might had something to do with how I woke up? Or just stress, anxiety, or being sleep deprived? I have not been getting a lot of sleep and read that could cause people to wake up like this.
