Scares to Diagnose

Posted , 4 users are following.

Im 19, was always strong and VERY sports aclimated. Recently my laborum tore, which was mended by surgery. My other shoulder now tore, and in the same week, my knee started to pop, gave out on my once or twice, and is so painful that I can't walk with a knee brace. Have had a stiff neck, morning mucus in the throat, swollen tonsils, oral thresh, severe headaches, extreme join and muscle pain, and a consistant, insatiable nees to sleep. Does this sound like Fibro? I'm terrified quite frankly. Ps: was diagnosed with "degenerative arthritis" in my shoulders

Hi Thebrickbeast. I am so sorry you are In so much pain. I also have fibromyalgia but i  don't have some of the symptoms you mention here. I have what feels like my body is burning from the inside. I also experience stabbing pains all round my body. Do you have any of these?

A friend of mine has the same symptoms as you and was diagnosed with  pollymyalgia.

Ask your doctor for test to confirm.  Hope this helps take care.

      Hi brickbeast.

how are you?  yesterday I had to go to the doctors as I was in agony. The doctor  gave me a perscription for tramadol. It helped but I was out for the count yesterday afternoon,  evening and most of today.  At least when I was asleep I couldn't feel no pain.

Hope you are feeling much better

    Hello brickbeast,

You are so young to have these symptoms! They do sound as if they might be Fibro , tho. The fatigue is a key feature, plus the pain that never goes away. Unfortunately there is no definitive test, just a process of elimination. I wish you well.

    Take care, Anne

Sorry for the late response all! I've been with doctors, wasting all my money for months. Now, my ankle, shin, foot, hips, all pop and hurt like hell, to the point where I want to just give up. Wearing two parellar braces now. I tested positive for HLA-B27, however, have not been firmly diagnosssed with anything. Fibromyalgia WAS diagnossed
