    Hi,

I had my Single incision gastric band at riverside with prof favretti last Sunday, he's such a lovely man. All went well and now adjusting to life with the band

Hi I took a week off, went back this Monday could probably have benefited from this week off as well as I'm on my feet a lot at work as a nurse and I struggled with the liquid diet at work, and trying to pretend nothing was wrong as only my husband knows I've had the procedure. The main pain was from my shoulder and under my breast bone from trapped wind which I'm still getting Ive been taking wind ease and Maalox which has helped. Hoid luckbiggrin) Sarah xx

    Hi

I've also booked for a consultation with the same professor but I was told 3 incisions not scarless?

How did you get on ?

My partner is against me doing it but I think I'm going to have to

      Hi Kerry,

I'm doing well thanks it's been a huge adjustment psychologically more than physically. I'm now 3 weeks post op and have lost just over a stone, for me it was the only option as everything else had failed and I now feel that I'm on my way to gaining control.

If I'm honest I was in more discomfort post op than I had anticipated and am only just starting to feel better. It's bern tough going out socialising as only my husband knows so having to make excuses for my changed habits.

I hope you make the right decision for you.

Hi Kerry. I'm booked in for this sat at riverside for the scarless band. Only £250 more. Ordered the pre op diet food pack should be here on Tuesday. Just been told to cut my calories down till I get the food.

Feeling nervous but excited to get it done

Thanks Sarah so three weeks post op I guess you have not had your first fill.

I read other posts saying that before the first fill it is really difficult because you can eat the same amounts as before.

Have you found this ? How have things changed ?

      Blooming hell! That was quick!

I'm going for consultation on Friday. I can't decide what to do about when to have it.

I've had massive pressure from my daughter and boyfriend not to do it. Also I am going through a divorce and just sold the house. And have holiday booked in July. I'm thinking 1st week of August when I get back.

Did you have to pay extra for the pre op food pack? What's in it ? I've just got so many questions ! X

Hi Kerry, no going for 1st fill on 26th, I'm certainly hungrier this week and getting an appetite which I haven't had since the op but I'm still only able to manage about a 1/4 of what I would have previously ate before getting discomfort which I'm taking as a sign of being full. It's hard to get used to eating slower and chewing already mushy food to a real pulp.

Hi sarah. I paid for the extra 5yrs insurance so I got the food pack free. I received 2 big boxes, lots of soups, meals and shakes. 5 days pre pop then 4 days post op. You can order the food packs from the weight to go web site. I have just ordered the vitamins as well as they recommend them in my info pack. They taste really nice. Will help me loads so I don't have to think about what I'm having to eat.
