scarring??

Ever since I was diagnosed I have noticed what seem to be scars in and around my vagina. They are just hard bumps. Is there anything I can do to get rid of these? Or does anyone have any insight?

How long ago did the sores heal?

It should eventually go away... All of mine did.

They healed a long time ago... months ago. But every outbreak I get I get more scars.

Are you getting the IBS in the same spots? So you're saying you have scars from the very first ob you ever had and didn't have recurrents in that spot?

I don't know what IBS is. But yes, I have scarring from the first ob and I seem to continue to get more from every ob I have

Supposed to be obs.... Stupid autocorrect..😒

Are you picking and scratching at them?

No not at all. I'm prescribed acyclovir to help treat and/or prevent outbreaks. But no, I leave them alone. They don't hurt unless my bf and I have sex several times in one weekend. Then they get sore. But otherwise they are just there... but I want them to go away

You guys have sex during obs?

I would get some natural vitamin E to rub on them and see if that helps. Other wise, I'm not sure what else could be done. Herpes typically doesn't cause scarring, but everyones skin is different I suppose.

Did you bf give you herpes by chances?

Yes he did but since then he and I have been tested for anything else and it's all negative. No, we avoid intercourse during outbreaks.

no he did not. His obs were extremely mild and we just thought it was chaffing as he works construction until I came down with an ob

Ahh .... I have found and especially after seeing a friend go through it w a guy, that men intentionally choose to be ignorant about what they have. They know they have it, suspect they do, but don't go and address it because they do not want it to impact or change their sexual behavior or deal w disclosures. Ignorance is blissful, at least for them, but not the one they're hurting

No, he legit didn't know he had it. He even showed me a break out because he didn't know what it was. Neither did I. Regardless, if I wanted an opinion of my boyfriends ignorance I wouldn't be on a herpes forum. And I don't need relationship advice from someone I don't even know. How I contracted this virus is not the concern of anyone. I only admitted to it because I thought you had something else that may help my scarring with that info. So please leave his "ignorance" out of this.

I wasn't commenting on him specifically... I'm making a generalized statement about men period ... When girls have rashes, they go to the doctors. Denial is powerful.... Denial means I don't know what it is, but I'm afraid to find out, I'm afraid of the consequences... A friend who went through EXACTLY what you just did, said this herself about men.

No where on there, did I say YOUR bf... I spoke in generalized statements and I'm referring to my experiences and my friends... If I wanted to say that, I'd say it point blank, because I'm a straight shooter. That's all you jumping to conclusions and getting defensive and thinking I was saying that about your bf did. I could care less what you choose to believe o what he did to you, because I don't know and you didn't seem distraught over it, I simplicity tried to show relation from experience. Grow up... Deuces
