Scary electric shock?

Hello all,
20 year old Male here.
About 2 months ago I had 2 severe panic attacks,.
After that I started getting pretty much every anxiety symptom. (most of which I've never experienced before)
Spells of dizzyness that turned into almost constant dizzyness, brain fog, tingles, derealization brain zaps, ears ringing, etc.
It was to the point I had to start cancelling work and daily activites.
I went to the ER and was assured this is all anxiety related.
I scheduled a Doctor appointment and was once again reassured, but still did some blood tests, and a quick neuro test (all came back normal)
After this my symptoms pretty much went away but I was still dealing with the health anxiety and still worried I had something wrong or had brain cancer.
I'm still getting twitches, little headaches, and pressure in the right side of my head, sometimes minor dizzyness (never have balance issues), brain fog, I find myself having pains in the back of my neck, pains in my leg, (from clenching muscles I think) and generally being out of it sometimes. Having to re-read sentences because I'm reading them too fast, fumbling a little buit with my hands sometimes (even tho my hand eye coordination is perfect) Sometimes stuttering over my words and stuck trying to find the right word to use which all freaks me out due to the worry of brain cancer confusion.
I read on a cancer forum one day a few weeks ago that people experienced an electric shock type feeling in the right side of their body,
Last night I was sitting playing video games and all of the sudden I felt as if electricity ran from my lower stomach down to my knee on the right side of my body, it only lasted like 5 seconds.
THIS FREAKED ME OUT!
I know that electric shocks like this can happen with anxiety but just on one spot on the right side of my body?
I'm totally worried and think I should go to my Doctor and MAKE him give me a CT scan or MRI... but I'm terrified of getting negative results and having it ruin my life.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
The constant worry and stress is killing me...

I had that same fear back when I was in my 20s. Plus all the symptoms you could possibly think of… muscle twitching, tingling etc. I had and still sometimes have all those symptoms of anxiety also. I thought I had Terrible diseases and a zillion other things. When I was in my 20s I thought for sure I was going to get a MS because my aunt had it. That thinking was based solely on non-reality. I never developed a MS but I tortured myself by thinking so negatively! All my test came out perfectly. It sounds like you were doing the same thing with your fear of cancer. As long as you get checked out by your doctor and the test come out good, you really need to put that out of your mind. If you can't do it on your own and sometimes it's hard to, I highly suggest talking to a counselor who can really help. As we all know anxiety can produce so many and such scary symptoms.
it doesn't pay to read too much online, all we do is scare ourselves more. There is a MUCH HIGHER likelihood that your symptoms are caused by stress and anxiety then some terrifying disease.
we can't let anxiety run our lives and our minds. We are better than that and we deserve to feel healthy and enjoy life. We need to be relentless in the pursuit of our health including healthy minds. I once heard the saying "don't believe everything you think "which is so very true. Our minds are so powerful and go to the negative if we let it. I have battled anxiety since my 20s and I am now in my 50s. I'm at the point where I know the anxiety symptoms so well and pretty much ignore them telling myself it will pass. You need to stay active so you're mind isn't focused on the negative. I have found meditative audios online that deal with stress and anxiety to be very helpful, also regular exercise, eating healthy and socializing. Doingsomething for someone else can make you feel great and it takes the focus off of yourself and your worries.
The worst thing we can do is isolate ourselves which causes us to think more and more negatively. As long as we follow up with our doctors and if the tests come out normal we really have to work hard at thinking more positively. You can find great books at the bookstore on the power of the mind and stress, depression anxiety.
ALL THE "WHAT IFS" ARE VERY HARMFUL TO OUR MENTAL HEALTH". What if's are NOT based in reality. It is our mind going to the negative.
Please don't do this to yourself.! I wasted 30 years with the "what if "thinking and nothing bad ever happened! I think if you had brain cancer you would definitely know it and your doctor would have found it. There is a 99.9% chance an MRI would be completely normal. Another reason to get help such as a counselor is that chronic negative thinking Can actually make negative changes in the brain. Rest assured, I don't mean cancer. I highly suggest seeing a counselor who can provide tools to help you overcome this. It really helps and has been my lifeline! I go even when I start to feel better.
Take the focus off of yourself by possibly doing something for someone else.
KEEP THIS IN MIND.....FEAR STANDS FOR. False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is based out of non-reality
Stay Active, exercises dramatically reduces my anxiety! Socialize, eat healthy, look for free meditative audios online related to negative thinking. They really help!

yeah I'm ggoing to start eliminating the things that are really making me focus on it.
I'm in the middle of a move (moving back to my hometown after leaving for a year which I think is a big part of my anxiety and stress. Being in a new town, no friends, etc. Really looking forward to being home) and plan to set up an appointment with a doctor and therapist to start getting this handled.
Thanks for the reassurance.
If anyone else has some reassurance on the electric shock feeling that'd be greatly appreciated.

Also I have had every one of the symptoms you listed and they were all anxiety related! Yes also the electric shock I've had it in my neck? Please stay off those Internet sites they only scare people to death. And just to let you know, I had those symptoms 35 years ago and I'm still here, healthy and happy. You can do this! Be a fighter.

Hi, ImAnon
I just wanted to respond as I have everything you have listed.
Little pressure type headaches on top of my head as well as the head pressure, vertigo (which can be either constant or ease off,) ears ring a bit, as well as the dreaded brain zaps.
This has been happening to me for twelve months now but I have been battling g with severe anxiety side I was little. You aren't on your own.
Like you I have had many GP visits. I have visited the same one multiple times for continuity, as well as getting other GP's opinions on it and the resounding answer has been anxiety.
I found that therapy has helped me quite a bit and the symptoms are now not there all the time. If I am particularly 'bad' they stay until I ease.
It's very hard to sometimes accept these things as anxiety, especially when the feelings and sensations are so real. In a way they are perfectly real, but they are not caused by anything sinister.
You did the right thing in being checked. It always pays to check with a GP first when it comes to health concerns, but if they are all telling you the same thing then I think you need to look at your other options... Which is most likely counselling.
I understand your frustration with needing an MRI to be that definitive proof that you are ok... But I warn you that may not be easy if you are in the UK and are unable to pay privately. if they do not think you need the test then they are unlikely to send you for one.
Perhaps try and source therapy and you can detail your concerns with them.

I do have insurance and I do beleive I can get my Dr to request one if I find it that urgent. I'm also located in the USA.
I've had the brain zaps as well but this was different.
Only on the right side of me from the middle of my stomach down my leg?
That really seems like something bad...
