Scheduled ACDF surgery soon, scared for long term limitations post surgery

Hey everyone, I am a 21 year old getting ACDF surgery on C4-C7 vertebra. I try to not show everyone how nervous I really am for the surgery and can not help but to think my life will forever be changed. I was involved in a motorcycle accident and fracture my C5 vertebra and am diagnosed with spondylolisthesis. I have maintained a very healthy lifestyle as i have already done multiple mud runs, a marathon and constantly like to stay healthy by going to the gym. My question to those of you who have had the surgery or know any one who has, what kind of limitations are there going to be long term? I would love to run another marathon and be able to give it my 100% again.

Most neurosurgeons who do not run themselves are reluctant to recommend any sport that causes any spinal vibration.  Just give it your 100% in something else.
