Sciatic pain

Hi, I have prescibed this drug for my sciatic pain. I am starting at 300mg per night for a week and then the next week 2x300 mg, 3rd week 3x300mg until I am taking 3x 600 mg. I hope that this works for me as I cant get out of bed in the morning I have to roll on to the floor until I get some life back into my legs. I have had the epidural and steroid back injections, accupuncture and also the tens machine in the past year. None of these worked :cry: .

I am hoping that I can get some relief from this drug along with my tramadol and good old paracetamol. I have now been off work for 4 weeks and I have been signed off for another 4 weeks. I need to get back as I am so bored and my hubby is also working away at the moment :cry:

I will post back here and let people know how I am getting on.

    welcome to the site hope you get lots of advice and support as we all do, they are all genuine caring people on here and i have found them immensly helpful. as like you when i first had to go on sick leave(feb) i was so bored, and had no idea what was happening to my body , but if i couldnt go on here now id go mad.as for the garbathin med judith swears by it she says its her saviour. hope it works well for you. take care gail

    Hi,  I have a slipped disc that is causing pain down my left leg. Dr just added

    Gabapentin 300 to a muscle relaxer. Hope I see some results soon. After

    reading about this med, I'm nervous about being on it for very long.

    Will check back. Hope you are doing better

    HI, marion im nick who is feeling your pain have had terrable back pain and sciatic pain in both legs for 5 months now. just had results for MRI scan and apparently have damaged lower disc in back and somthing going on inside it. been told can be back to 100% how i dont know maybe injections but doesnt seem to have helped your condition? just been given gabapentin im praying this gives me some pain releave  hope it works for you.
