I had sciatica but it went away with yoga. It is not just for the young & fit, it's for everyone.

Give it a try as it has other health benefits.

I got mine 5 weeks after a TKR. Very, very common as we unconsciously shift our weight to avoid pain. The end result is L4/L5 compression, hip misalignment or locked SI joints...any or all of which can impact the sciatic nerve. See a chiropractor...mine was gone in a few weeks. DO NOT have a doc throw nerve meds at you!!! Just get it fixed.

I had a total knee replacement operation nine months ago. Some three or four months later, I went to my leisure club to walk in the swimming pool. I went a few times. Each time, I was in a lot of pain afterwards. The last time I went, I had a dreadful sciatica type pain the whole length of my leg. I was in agony all night. I haven't been back to the swimming pool since that awful night.
