Sciatica

Posted ,

After L5-S1 surgery in September 2017 and 2 epidural injections, I am in scrutiating pain, nerve pain down both of side of my legs, with tingling numbing sensation all the way to button of my foot and the three toes starting with the toe. What makes me even worst is sitting down for more than 5 minutes. Seeing a spinal surgeon on May 23rd. A few time I thought of going to the ER because of the pain even though I am taking prescription such as Lyrica 350mg, Vicodin in the morning and before bed, and just prescribed Buprenorphine Transdermal Patch every 7 days, I am still in severe pain.

I refuse to take Vicodin every 4 to 6 hours. I am able to tolerate pain, Rotator cuf surgery, C-sections, knee replacement was painful but nothing like sciatica pain.

Any advise? what else can I do to get some relief? Talking to the surgeon about fusion L4S1

Thank you

Ana
