Sciatica pain

The Pain Consultant has suggested I consider Spinal Cord Stimulation for chronic neuropathic pain. Has anyone tried or experienced this. I have had no relief from various neuropathic pain killers. From MRI scans it only showed age change and neuropathic conduction tests showed nerve damage.

The MRI did not show the bone spur...MRIs are not always conclusive. Only when my neurosurgeon went in, did he find the spur. Decompressive laminectomy plus spur removal. Immediate pain relief...took 7-10 days for the inflamed nerve to resolve. 100% cure.
I'd see a neurosurgeon. Managing pain does not fix the actual root cause of the problem.

There's a facebook page called " Spinal Fusion Successes and Beneficial Back Surgery Pre-Op Support" I have seen several discussions on there about spinal cord stimulater use. You have to request to join and approval is usually granted overnight. Once you are in you will find lots of information, both good and bad but mostly positive
